This machine, which came out of the BF-109 G production series in the autumn of 1944, looked very similar to the latter. Only a few details of engine, cabin pressurization, would differentiate it from previous versions. However, the 'MESSERSHMITT Me 109 K-4' was equipped with the 'Galland Hood' and the large tail unit. These last two modifications have already been tried on certain types of aircraft. 109- G. Plane arriving very late, very few good documents still exist. It is believed that the first K made their appearance in the operational theatre on 1 January 1945, during the famous German attack on the allied airfields in liberated territories.
